Signing in

Is it safe to sign in inside Reel Blocker?

Yes. You sign in on the platform's own website. Your password goes straight to the platform — Reel Blocker never sees or stores it — and your login is saved only on your iPhone.

Google says the browser “may not be secure”

Choose “Try another way” and sign in with your password instead of a pop-up. If it still fails, try again after a few minutes.

“Continue with Apple / Facebook” doesn't work

Social sign-in buttons sometimes don't work inside apps. Sign in with your username and password instead — you can set a password in the platform's own app settings.

I'm stuck on a login or checkpoint page

Go to Settings → Log out of all platforms, then open the platform again and sign in fresh.

Filters & feeds

A Reel, Short or ad still showed up

Platforms change their websites often. Email us the platform and what you saw — we can update filters remotely, without an app update.

How does the feed cap work?

After the number of posts you choose (Settings → Your feed), the feed ends with “You're all caught up”. It counts per platform, per day, and resets at midnight. Messages and profiles always work.

How do I use only messages?

Tap ⚙︎ on a platform and turn on DMs Only Mode (Subscriptions Only on YouTube).

Can I make feeds black and white?

Yes — Settings → Your feed → Grayscale feeds, or ⋯ → Grayscale while browsing.

Blocking the real apps

The real app isn't blocked
  1. Block tab → make sure Screen Time is on.
  2. Check the app is connected (its tile doesn't say “Connect”).
  3. When connecting, pick the single app (for example Instagram), not a whole category.
  4. Still not working? Restart your iPhone and open Reel Blocker once.
How do Sleep Mode times work?

Apps lock at your bedtime minus wind-down, and unlock at your wake-up time plus calm start. The Sleep tab shows the exact lock and unlock times. The window must be at least 15 minutes long.

How do I turn off Commit Mode?

Block tab → Start unlock. It takes four short steps (about 5–10 minutes). Need to post? A Post Pass opens one app for a few minutes without turning Commit Mode off.

What is Post Pass?

It unlocks one blocked app for 2–15 minutes so you can post, then locks it again — even if Reel Blocker is closed. You get 3 per day.

What does “Lock when budget is reached” do?

When your daily budget runs out, feeds in Reel Blocker and your connected apps lock until midnight. Messages-only, Post Pass and a one-time +5 minutes still work.

Subscription

Restore my purchase

Open the paywall or Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

Cancel my subscription

iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Reel Blocker → Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Get a refund

Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
