The short version
Effective October 9, 2026. This policy explains how Nextsalution (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Reel Blocker app for iPhone and iPad (the “App”).
1. Signing in to social platforms
Reel Blocker opens the official websites of Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, Reddit and LinkedIn inside the App so it can hide Reels, Shorts, feeds and ads.
- Your username and password go directly to the platform. We don't see, store or transmit them.
- Your login session (cookies and website storage) is saved by Apple's WebKit on your device, the same way Safari keeps you signed in. It never reaches our servers.
- We don't read or collect your messages, posts, comments, contacts, profile information or the pages you visit.
- You can remove every login at any time in Settings → Log out of all platforms.
When you use a platform, that platform's own privacy policy applies to your account and activity there. Reel Blocker is not affiliated with any of these platforms.
2. Information stored only on your device
| What | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Time spent per platform and number of items hidden | Home, Stats, Daily Budget and the share card | On your device |
| Your onboarding answers (apps used, daily time, goal) | Personalising Home and your plan | On your device |
| Filter, Sleep Mode, Commit Mode, Post Pass, feed cap and notification settings | Making the App work the way you chose | On your device |
| Notes you type when turning off Commit Mode | Part of the unlock steps | Not saved |
Deleting the App removes this information from your device.
3. Screen Time (blocking the real apps)
To block apps like Instagram or TikTok, Reel Blocker uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity).
- When you pick an app, Apple gives Reel Blocker an encrypted token, not the app's name. We can't tell which apps you chose.
- Apple tells Reel Blocker when your daily budget is reached in those apps, but not what you did in them.
- All of this stays on your device and is never sent to us.
4. Analytics (Firebase)
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how people use Reel Blocker so we can improve it. It collects:
- App events such as opening a screen, finishing onboarding, turning a feature on or off, opening a platform, session length, reaching the feed cap, and starting or completing a purchase.
- Your onboarding answers in summary form (for example “2–4 hours a day”).
- Device and app information such as device model, iOS version, app version, language, approximate region, and an app-instance identifier.
Analytics never includes your passwords, usernames, messages, posts, the web addresses you visit, or which real apps you blocked. We don't use the advertising identifier or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
We also use Firebase Remote Config to update the App's filter rules (which parts of each platform to hide) without an app update. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple shares the status of your subscription with the App on your device so it can unlock Pro features. Apple's privacy policy applies to your purchase.
We use RevenueCat to keep records of subscriptions (for example: trial started, renewed, cancelled) so we can understand how Reel Blocker Pro is doing. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a random, anonymous app user ID — not your name, email or Apple ID. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
6. Notifications
Bedtime reminders, budget alerts, Post Pass reminders and weekly reports are local notifications scheduled on your device. We don't send push notifications from a server and don't collect a push token.
7. Sharing your information
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers described above (Google Firebase, RevenueCat and Apple), or if required by law. The share card you create in Stats contains only your summary numbers, and it's shared only if you choose to share it.
8. Retention and your choices
- Analytics data is kept by Firebase for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
- You can turn off notifications in Settings, log out of all platforms, and remove Screen Time access in iOS Settings → Screen Time.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information. Email support@nextsalution.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Reel Blocker isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the App. Questions? Email support@nextsalution.com.
